Villa Lauretana

We were a family of 10 plus 2 children and a dog. We had an amazing time! The villa and the pool can fit all of us and we even drove to nearby villages as well to visit. The only thing that was annoying was the mosquitos.

Property was great, owners were very easy to work with. Renting a house is a bit different than staying in a hotel, you need to think about items you don’t usually consider such as bathroom and kitchen supplies. Property was exactly as described!

Villa Lauretana oli erityisen sopiva perheemme ( 9 aikuista, 4 lasta) majoittumiseen. Talossa oli paljon tilaa ja piha ja puutarha oli todella viihtyisä. Pihalla oli aurinkoisia paikkoja ja puiden varjoa, mikä oli hyvä helteisellä säällä. Leikkimökki oli kiva lisä lapsia ajatellen.Uima- altaan vesi oli puhdasta. Nautimme todella lomastamme ja voisimme tulla uudelleen samaan paikkaan.

Our 8 adult group was a 3 generational family who gathered at Villa Lauretana to celebrate the matriarch's 80th birthday and it was the perfect place. This home is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained, and very comfortable. It was easy for us to make day trips to many small towns in Southern Tuscany and Umbria as well as travel by train and car to Florence.
It was easy to access delicious food in whatever area we found ourselves in each day, but I would expect that in Italy. The Coop nearby was very accessible and had everything we needed. But mostly we ate out to enjoy the local Tuscan cuisine.
Much of the home on both levels has an extensive patio for eating or just sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed the birds, especially the Mourning Doves cooing, in the mornings and evenings.
Our hosts were very friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns. It was especially helpful that they arranged for a wheelchair rental of just the right size to assist in transport for me in visiting some of the more difficult towns.
Wish we could have stayed a month, but 8 days enjoying the ambiance of this region was a perfect delight.

Everything was lovely, our hosts were kind and accommodating! Please note that there is NO DRYER! I booked this villa because it was the only one in the area that said it had a dryer (I didn't want to spend a whole day in a self-serve laundry. Sadly, I had to. Their washing machine is also super small and they have lines to hang the clothes. Also, if you want to wash your hands, you'd better bring your own hand soap. There was no soap in any of the many bathrooms!! I would have given them fewer stars had they not been so nice and everything else was great! NOTE ABOUT LAUNDRY: We spent a whole day back and forth in the tiny self-serve laundry near the villa. It only had two washing machines that worked; one was tiny. That evening we went to beautiful Cartona for dinner and spotted a huge and modern self-service laundry that looked like we could have washed everything efficiently there while we enjoyed that incredible town.

Property is amazing. Would definitely stay again. Perfect central location to most towns in Tuscany. But also perfect destination if you choose to stay in, and only on property. Giuliano was incredibly accommodating and a gentleman.

Absolutely stunning property that is even better than the photos. Extensive grounds, beautiful pool, lovely interior, comfortable living and bedrooms. The space was perfect for our family holiday with 6 adults and 5 children. Things to note: air conditioning is only in one bedroom and a small living space, not throughout although there are fans in all rooms. The mosquitos are very bad so bring repellent. There are two small kitchens, one on each level.

Villa Lauretana is even better than the photos look. We stayed for a month - 3 families including 6 adults and 5 young children. We had a wonderful stay here and would love to return. -Living areas are spacious and comfortable - The bedrooms are comfortable and roomy -Grounds are extensive, several hectares to enjoy with plenty of shade - The pool was lovely and maintained extremely well, cleaned every second day. The villa owners, were very accommodating with our check in and out times and helpful during our stay. Things to note: - Extra charges: as mentioned you pay extra at the end for cleaning (€350), linen change (€150 per week) and power. We paid €1200 for power for a 28 day stay with 11 people. This is paid directly to the owners in cash at the end of the stay. - Mosquitos: are very bad! Bring plenty of insect repellent. -Air conditioning: only in one bedroom & upstairs living space, fans for rest of house - Pizza oven: was unavailable

We were three families with kids and loved the villa. The villa is huge with a very big garden, many spacious rooms and several bathrooms. We recommend it and would love to come back in future.

Luogo e casa incantevole. Speciale la gentilezza e l’accoglienza di Giuliano. Ottimale la gestione delle spese extra: corrispondevano esattamente a quando indicato nella descrizione.

Séjour incroyable, magnifique villa, propre et très agréable. Les chambres spacieuses , les salles de bain aussi. Tout est très bien entretenu. Villa bien située . On a payé un petit supplément en électricité alors qu’on était dehors toute la journée. 3 nuits. La piscine était en marche en octobre. Mais tout le reste était fantastique.

Lovely large villa set in beautiful gardens - we were a party of 9 and the villa gave us lots of space to come together and also have space to read in peace. We were welcomed warmly and helpfully by the hosts who were prompt in answering any queries via WhatsApp. The shops in Torrita di Sienna just 5/10min drive were easy to find for all grocery / immediate wine/beer needs!! The villa was a great base just 35 min drive from Chiusi train station allowing us to be in central Rome within 1hr and Florence easily and with Sienna a straightforward 45/50 min drive.
Two important points - Electric costs were double what the agent quoted and take plenty of good mosquito spray if you are prone to being bitten.

Nous sommes restés 2 semaines debut août, avec 4 adultes et 5 enfants.
Nous ne reviendrons pas dans cette villa qui a de beaux atouts, mais aussi des defauts qui font que nous la trouvons trop chère pour le confort proposé.

Interieur sombre, a moins d allumer toutes les lumieres.
2 pieces climatisees seulement, pas de brasseur d air, et que de petits de ventilateurs pour de tres grandes pieces.
Des couverts minuscules et de mauvaise qualite
Litterie avec sommier sans latte.
Douches et  baignoires vite bouchées
Des mauvaises odeurs du coté EST de la maison.
Les moustiques omnipresents dans la region pendant l été, mais pas de moustiquaire ni piege anti moustique. Difficile d apprecier pleinement l espace exterieur sans se faire piquer, ou de dejeunet les fenetres ouvertes, ou dormir la fenetre ouverte.
Congelateur minuscule pour une dizaine d' hotes.

Die Villa Lauretana ist wunderschön. Die Zimmer sind noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Man sollte aber unbedingt einen gewissen Grundstock an italienisch besitzen, da der Inhaber kein Wort Englisch spricht. Bei unserer Anreise (4 Erwachsene, 5 Kinder) war der Pool grün. Es war sehr mühsam mit dem Inhaber und dem Gärtner zu kommunizieren. Einzig die Tochter des Inhabers spricht sehr gut Englisch, hier ist die Kommunikation aber nur telefonisch möglich.
Die Umgebung ist wunderbar-die schönsten Städte in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wer schöne Fotos machen möchte, sollte unbedingt in die Gegend rundum Pienza und Crete Senesi fahren.
Das nächste Restaurant ("il timone") ist 10 Fußminuten entfernt (wenn man langsam geht). Geschäft gibt es "Coop", Fahrzeit 3 Minuten. Man sollte sich auf jeden Fall mit Sprays gegen die Insekten eindecken und Insecticum - in den zahlreichen Bäumen befinden sich nicht nur die Zikaden mit ihrem herrlichen Gesang, sondern auch viele Gelsen.
Ich kann die Villa für 2 Familien sehr empfehlen. Wir hatten viel Platz um uns zu erholen. Der Pool war leider erst ab dem 4. Tag benutzbar und die Küche/Besteck sollten dringend überholt werden. Das ist das einzige was es zu bemängeln gibt.

Fantastic villa and perfect location. We spent a month at Villa Lauretana and entertained different groups of guests each week. The location allowed us to venture out and see most of South Tuscany. The home was comfortable, very large and everyone felt right at home. Daniela and Giuliano were fantastic hosts. We would come back in the future!!

Wir haben als Familie (Grosseltern, Tochter mit Familie, Sohn mit Familie) eine Woche in der wunderbaren Villa Lauretana verbracht und haben die schöne, persönliche Einrichtung des Hauses, die wunderbare Umgebung mit den schattenspendenden Bäumen und natürlich den Pool sehr genossen. Auch die Übergabe des Hauses durch die Besitzer und die Abnahme war sehr angenehm und freundschaftlich. Wir können dieses Haus für grössere Gruppen wärmstens empfehlen.

From our 14 year old son to our 70+ patriarch (and those of us in our 20s, 40s, and 50s), we all could not have asked for anything more from this home away from home. Additionally, the kindness and attentiveness of the hosts were EXCEPTIONAL! We have stayed at Airbnb properties all over the US and Italy, and this one by far is our favorite!

We had a wonderful stay in the villa. Perfect for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. We had a very warm welcome from the owner, the villa was perfectly equipped and super clean. We could not enjoy much the park because of the weather but would undoubtedly be perfect in warmer time. We recommend the villa for a large group as this is very big.

Der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt.
Die ganze Anlage um die Liegenschaft ist sehr gepflegt.

The owners welcomed us warmly on arrival and gave us two complimentary bottles of wine from their vineyard. The villa is well equipped and spacious. The grounds are truly lovely with many trees, shrubs and plants. The pool is nice but very cold in mid-may when we were there! It is situated in a good location for visiting all the most scenic parts of Tuscany. However the advertised 10minute walk to the town centre is to the shops up the road and not to the old town which is more like a 30min walk.The only thing I would change about the villa itself would be the kitchen space which is two small kitchens, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor - it was a constant journey up and downstairs to the dishwasher. The other issue is the advertised price for the villa. The original cost seemed very reasonable but then there was a 350euro charge for final cleaning and 120euro charge for electricity (we really couldn't have used any less) making it just as expensive as others I was looking at. I would prefer the cleaning cost and a realistic fuel charge to be added to the advertised cost per week.All things considered our party of 6 adults and 3 small children had a really good week and would consider another visit.

Abbiamo trascorso capodanno con un gruppo di amici in questa villa. E 'stato meraviglioso e il camino ci ha fatto un sacco di compagnia. Sicuramente torniamo in estate!

Villa très calme et spacieuse avec beaucoup de zones de vie en plein air. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter le sud de la Toscane, mais il est également pratique pour atteindre les villes du nord telles que Florence ou Arezzo. WiFi fonctionnait bien, la piscine était propre et le jardin bien entretenu. Recommandé!

Large villa just outside the town of Torrita, very clean with a beautiful garden.
We loved the big rooms, the huge living area and the park around the villa.
Everything is exactly as described on the website, the owners are very friendly and they make good wine. Recommended for big groups.

Wunderschönes grosses Haus, genauso wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, eingehüllt von Luxus und wunderbarer Landschaft. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen. Schönen war auch, das ein kleiner Ort sehr nahe gelegen ist, man kann auch zu Fuss dort hin gehen.

Mit drei Familien und 10 Personen im Haus.
Riesengroße Villa mit riesigem Park, komplett abgeschirmt zur Straße. Viel Schatten, da sehr viele Bäume, schöner Pool, wunderbare Sitzgelegenheiten verteilt im ganzen Garten. Die Besitzer waren sehr hilfsbereit. Alles sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder diese Villa buchen. Durch die Größe des Hauses und des Gartens (Pool ets.)ist der Grundverbrauch des Stroms sehr hoch und es bietet sich an, darauf zu achten. Selbst wenn man extrem sparsam mit dem Stromverbrauch umgeht, überschreitet man die Freigrenze um mindestens 50%. Das sollte man im Voraus mit einkalkulieren.
