Beautiful castle dating back to the 16th century, built in a romantic style, located in a very panoramic position on the hills surrounding Campiglia Marittima.
The structure, which has kept its ancient charm intact, enjoys a beautiful view of the valley below and on clear days, on the island of Elba. The furnishings and decorations are in the noble Tuscan style of the late 16th century. Castello Leopoldo can accommodate up to 28 people thanks to its 14 bedrooms and its large common areas.
The castle is surrounded by a large well-kept garden that guarantees maximum privacy for guests and offers a splendid private swimming pool.
The structure is ideal for those who want to spend a unique holiday and to organize receptions and important events.
At guests’ disposal: spacious, equipped and well-kept terraced garden, fenced swimming-pool (5 x 11 m – maximum depth 3 m) with dressing-room and toilette, little Jacuzzi, covered terrace equipped with table and chairs for outdoor meals. Parking within the grounds.
All of the bedrooms are provided with air-conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, alarm-radio and safe. All bathrooms (provided with hairdryer) are hand-painted and decorated in travertine marble.
Internet wi-fi (20 Mbps download and 6 Mbps upload).
Distances: Venturina with all kinds of shops approx. 1 km, Piombino (with ferries for Elba) 10 km, Livorno 60 km, Pisa 75 km. Florence and Siena are within 120 km. Nice beaches are in a-few-minute drive.

An outstanding property in a fascinating and lesser-visited part of Tuscany. It is a genuine castle with interior decoration that respects the history of the place. We found it to be quite comfortable, the rooms were large, and the public spaces (four living rooms, entrace hall, dining room, grounds) were more than adequate, even if we had filled the castle. We also enjoyed several catered dinner at the castle which were very good, featuring local dishes. I want to particularly mention the caretaker, Pri, who provided the breakfast and service during the stay; he is a outstanding and kind individual who provided more service than was mentioned in the original booking.
I cannot recommend this property enough for a large group wanting to visit the Maremma.
