"I travelled with my husband, 4 year old and 21 month old.

Needless to say the pool is a complete highlight - it was perfect for both ages, the four year old swam her first length without floats in the big pool and the little one loved bobbing about in the small pool. Couldn't have been a more perfect set up for a young family.

There are nice touches with the hanging chairs, football table, big pond with a swan on it - which the kids loved looking at. Also enjoyed the most gorgeous sunsets over a stunning Tuscan hill view.

I suspect our apartment was the smallest, still two good size double bedrooms with en suites. Well equipped kitchen, although not really an indoor lounge / sitting space - but a good private dining area outside. There isn't air con - but the team bought fans for the kids which worked. I didn't find it too hot overnight and the kids were good. We booked last minute during peak August season - hence the rating on value - I'm sure it's a far more sensible price at all other times of the year...and the price we paid was equal to similar properties in the area.

Check-in, check-out was absolutely painless and the team were very quick to respond when needed during the week (we had a nightmare emergency with the little one playing with keys and locking herself into the apartment - the team dealt with it quickly, efficiently and graciously - they really do love children despite the problems they can cause!).

Location wise its a good spot - just an hour or so to all main towns that you like to see i.e. Siena, Lucca etc. Smaller towns are close with a good Co-op for supplies."
